Carpenter bees cannot be controlled on a long-term basis with a one-time treatment. In general, they are seasonal during the spring months, and this is when they “drill” the holes into the wood. The males are territorial but don’t sting, and the females rarely sting because they are focused on mating and making a home (the wood/brood chambers) to lay their brood. If Prime + carpenter bee isn’t purchased, then recommend selling a one-time treatment and then following up around March – April every year for another service.
Price: $195 – $295 initial. One time: $250 – $375.00.
IPM Recommendation: For best long-term control, Arrow recommends the initial treatment and our prime pest control plan, coupled with recommending the client stain or paint the wood after treatment. A paint or stain will also act as a reliable deterrent for the bees to not drill into the wood.
Carpenter bee treatment includes:
- Treatment of any exposed wood on the home and attached structures.
- Liquids, dusts, and aerosols, or a combination may be used.
- Plugging the holes is not included.
- Is the area more than 15 feet high? If yes, a ladder is needed, and a higher price and longer time amount will apply.
